What is the Bytowne Urban Gardens(BUGs)

Bytown Urban Gardens (BUGs) is a not-for-profit Ottawa-based community garden organization, formed in 1996 by a group of Ottawa residents who wanted to promote sustainable food production. For many years, we proudly grew our community garden at Metcalfe and Catherine Street, also known as Beaver Barracks. With the help of our community parterns, we are establishing a new garden in the Glebe Memorial Park. The new garden will be under construction during Spring 2010 and will be open to our members by the end of May 2010.
